tyvek is a mistake for those with neighbors close buy or your patch close to the house. loud and crinkly tinny noise every time the wind blows. my neighbors have their air on at night so not too bad. but my dog has me up from barking at the 25 mph winds making sounds like pie tins out there. more secure taughtness would temporarily do the trick, but as the loosen up, the noise will return. so for the sake of my sleep and the neighbors not having to hear it all fall as temps decrease and windows are opened at night, i just purchased some 10 x 8 foot waterproof tarps that are white on on side and silver on the other. i will point the silver sides up. the tyvek will get me through til they get here, so oh well live and learn.
