well I'm in trouble already. upon close inspection I noticed my stem is split pretty badly. about 1/4" wide 1/2" deep and 4" long. fortunately the split stops just shy of the pumpkin and vine. as well it is on the bottom so less chance of festering. But unless we start seeing some sun here it has no chance of drying out.
