"the duece" jumped up to 5" cc per day the past 2 days and is 56" cc on day 17 and the stem is rapidly getting larger and the secondary vine it is on is growing in size nicely now that the juices are all going in one direction. got deep within the plant and removed every single little weird pop up tertiary the plant wanted to shoot out. never seen so many little mutant stubby terts coming out of previosly pruned secondaries unions. similar to those weird pop terts you get near your stumps sometimes. i had to get the vegetative energy out of the plant so it could switch over to fruiting concentration. would love to still try to get something around 1000 from the 1161 on a secondary. plenty of plant to do it, and the pumpkin is shaping up like it will possibly go tall and squattier with somewhat of a nice shape and color. a little early to tell if it is a chugger, but nice to see it gaining a little faster. noticed a decent size stem side split under the stem that has already healed without my knowing on "the duece". could be signs of problems to come or just a quick burst of energy from the cold spell to warm spell and the pumpkin split a little to give instead of blow. had this happen before at that age. took a couple measurements on "freak" to see if any changes since removing the main after the pumpkin and the 2 secondaries i lost in the procedure. 24 lbs per day since the surgery on day 25 as compared to 25 lbs per day before it means it hasn't really missed a beat.
