Well I finally pruned down to one squash. the choice was made somewhat for me, as my second squash which was a day younger developed several blossum end splits only one of which was of any size As well this one had a small stem split and there was a white stripe on the fruit which started to go brown. after removing I disected and the white stripe it seemed to be full of a clear jelly which I beleive would have become a weak spot. Especially as lookajook lost his big one to a split last year on a white stripe that was present from birth like mine. to bad I beleive it would have been bigger than the one i kept but a live dog is better than a dead lion.
