Weather has been the coldest I can remember and growth has been terrible for pollinations. Record low of 50° last night. Should I expect things to pick up with warmer weather, or will these fruits be permanently stunted? 1343 aborted second pumpkin. Not looking good so far for my big plants, 434s and 1055.5* showing the only promise so far. Pollinated 603.5 x self today, 5 lobes, final mainvine pollination on this plant. Pollinated 1343 Lyons x 603.5 Muller yesterday. 1343 plant is enormous but won’t set fruit. Honestly I’m hoping that a side vine open pollination or two shows promise at this point. Just trying to keep my spirits up; at least all plants are still healthy.
