On Tues(6-30-2009), I pollinated a pumpkin on the 812 at 17 or 18 feet with the 820 Van kooten. I also pollinated one on the 820 with the 812 Beauchmin at 13 or 14 Feet. Today 7-1-2009, I pollinated a Pumpkin on the 820 (3rd) with the 812 Beauchmin. I also sprayed the three pumpkins on the 812, an two on the 820 and 1 on the 1279 with a spray solution of 10 parts water and 1 part bleach. I also gave plants water and seaweed as well as terminated some of the secondaries that were some of the first to grow. Plants are looking good and the patch is filling in good. I am trying to pollinate as many pumpkins as I can on the mains of all three plants, so I will have several pumpkins to decide from when it comes time to cull. The hot days are terrible. I am trying to shade all my pumpkins that are set and growing as well as the new ones that have just been pollinated AND the little babies that are showing up. I will stop pollinateing soon and consentrate on growing the already set fruits. Thanks again everyone. Holla
