Having issues with the 800 plant now with Phytophthora ( sudden leaf wilt) I applied fungicides then I figured just to pull the first side vine off the plant. So far the pumpkin is growing at the same rate at 35.5 pound average the last 5 days. I will not water this plant for a couple days until the ground is drier.I think it was caused by the 120 degree day it had 4 days ago when the hoop it was not
opened. The 1349 pumpkin is a day younger than the 800 plant and averaging 33 pounds a day the last 5 days now.Its going to be a hot week here and I hope the disease problem stays a way (Rhizoctonia).
