Ok, an attempt was made to plant at the farm, but it seems that the ground is just too hard there to give the AGs what they need to grow big.
My apologies go out to Mike who was allowing me to grow there, but I didn't want to have both of us work alot for little results.
In the interest of giants, I have decided to deal with the deer in La Salle and grow behind my parents house. The soil is very sandy and will thus drain well. I didn't add any manure here due to time (and money) constraints, but I did add (over the total area of 2500 square feet):
- 500 lbs of gypsum - 50 lbs of sulfate of potash - 50 lbs of kelp meal - 8 lbs of bonemeal
Here you see 3/4 tilled and prepped. I will grow 3 big ones in the first three spots (you can see the plants) and in the last section, I will grow 2 pollinators. My buddy Wally may grow one of the pollinators because he may be hooked on the giants.
