touch down!!!! all 3 plants have hit the ground and are running. the backup 1161 is a stocky aggressive plant but keeps wanting to twist and grow upwards. it will be down by tomorrow. i will be making the final cull decision after both lay down and run about 3 feet. with the warm temps, that should be in a couple days or so. the other 2 backups were whacked this past week. the greenhouses come down tomorrow morning on what is predicted to be a mostly cloudy 75 degree day which will be perfect for full strength sun acclimation. i will but the silt fences up and get some weeding in order. i held off spraying talstar one cuz i didn't like the fact of spraying the small plants while still in the greenhouses before running the main vine. i have seen another cuke beetle at work yesterday, but no signs of any by the plants. tomorrow night after a cool cloudy day will be a perfect time to hit them with a light dose. i will take some pics tomorrow.
