In addition to putting patch sprinkling system into use today we planted some old vegatables. In the rows to the left of picture we planted the remaining seed of some very old corn (1400-1800 years old). Carbon dating on charcoal found with this corn gave that date. Some of this corn was planted in 1990s and it germinated very well. I tooked my remaining seed which has been in freezer all winter. Soaked seed in soluible kelp. Dug hole and added a glass of duilited root similuate with some kelp and them planted the seed in the moist hole. Covered the seed beore turning water down the rows to soak the ground well. In the middle of picture are our radish and carrots and rows of onions. In additon Dori planted 2 variety of old beans, one was Anazazhi and the other were beans reported to have been found in an old Indian grainery.
