Got home around 7:30pm and had a surprize. A lot of wind had blown thru the area today with gusts up to 60mph. Dori's hut had a 12 foot rip starting along where plastic had been folded. This happened in mater hut also so am not to happy with this brand of plastic. Sun had bore down on the unprotected plants and many leaves had been burned and dehyrdrated. It might have killed the plants. Patched the old plastic and layed another layer of 4 ml plastic on top. Sprayed the plants throughly to try and get some moisture back in them. Time will tell how badly the plants were damaged. Dori is ready to start new seeds. Have 3 backup plants in kitchen with about 2 foot mains and are root bound in the pots. The huts were temporary shelters and were put up on Feb 16 so have been up for almost 3 months. No wonder the plastic is giving us problems. Next time will get a better quality plastic.
