I spent yesterday afternoon in the patch. I am planting six pumpkins. Four Christmas tree pattern and two in the flag pattern. My wife, Deb is checking some of the houses in the background. Flag pattern will go in front of the three back plants. My first batch of seeds had difficulty germinating. Local veteran grower Burr Boston gave me a couple of plants including a 526 Jessell, which was a beautiful orange pumpkin from 2005. My second batch of seeds looks like they all might make it.
