Have been harding off tomatoes and peppers to go in the mater hut. Had been waiting for good weather to transplant them. Today was to be the day for them to go to mater hut. Looked out the window this morning and had to change plans. Had a front come through last night with some good wind. Had 30' rip right down the top of the hut. Decieded to put to put up a low profile hoop to the north of mater hut. Tilled the ground and made furrows for irrigation. Will lay 4 mil black plastic on the ground and water under the plastic. This will slow down evaporation, keep weeds down and retain heat in the soil in the evenings. Have use black plastic in this way for 25 plus years in garden.
