i brought out some voodoo to help bless the plants and encourage them to grow to their kickass potential. this statue was carved by myself back in the early 90s in a period of time when i had to come to a realization that life is not all beer bongs, grateful dead shows, and basically "F" ing off. i needed to get my "stuff" together, and one night while watching a discovery channel show about the life of dung beetles, i had an epiphany. if the dung beetle has enough gumption and drive, with no complaints, to follow around elephants just waiting for them to "stuff", so they can in turn eat the "stuff" and roll the "stuff" in a ball and lay an egg in the middle so the larvae can eat "stuff" and be protected at the same time until they mature. then well, hell, i needed to mature by not complaining and eat the "stuff" that life was handing me and take care of business. i basically needed to get a job and knock it down. i carved this carving and it now rests on my mantle along with my other silly carvings from that time in my life. it is titled, "It is a World of 'Stuff', So Eat Up" and it always reminds me when life starts weighing me down to shut up, stop crying about it and take care of business. you don't hear the dung beetle complaining. and it literally eats the "stuff". so i am hoping this statue will help encourage the plants to do what they love to do, eat all that cow "stuff" and grow big and round. hey George J., eat "stuff". lol.
