Remains of an stamp mill that was used to break up the gold ore. Gold was recovered by using mercury and then retorted to obtain the gold. This mill foundation is near Pigeon Springs in the Palametto mining district. There had been a saloon, roadhouse and other buildings in the late 1890s.
