I'm hoping that this situation will work out well. In addition to my 16 month old son I have a 5 year old daughter. My pumpkin mate's name is Del. He's 77 years old but you would not know it by watching him work in the patch. I'm going to teach him everything I know about growing pumpkins and hopefully I will not have to spend so much time tending to them.
Here is a picture of the smaller of the two patches.
We will be growing 5 plants so I started 9 seeds last night. We have a few more things to do before we can transplant but most of the "hard" work is finished.
