this is a pic today looking out my window. the greenhouse on the right will be replaced with my spare greenhouse still in the garage cuz the door zipper is messed up. for now this one is sealed up and fine for doing its purpose of heating up the soil. the other one will replace it sometime before planting. these greenhouses have held up pretty good over 6 years and i like the multiple vents both low and high. right now i have the dirt tucked tight to the plastic to help the soil heating. later in may when it begins to get pretty hot even with all vents and the front door left wide open, i will pull back the dirt and raise the greenhouses up on bricks on all four corners to provide more air circulation. ordered some fresh bio endo mych from joel holland yesterday and the left over 6 pounds from last year were tilled into the planting spot areas yesterday. after the greenhouses were erected today, i gave the soil in the greenhouse a nice soaking to help incorporate some of the gypsum and biochar tilled in yesterday. the rest of the patch will have plenty of time to get a good soaking starting tomorrow. i ran extension cords to the greenhouses for when the space heaters go in. this week i will lay out the initial polytubing for the misting system, and when the plants go in, i will tap into this main line and put a suspended mister head over all plants inside the greenhouses.
