Well the home patch (Alpha) will not be used for pumpkins this year....or maybe for a while. Gonna still grow LGs and a giant watermelon, plus lots of bell peppers, tomatoes, and 8 or 9 varieties of hot peppers including Bhut Jolokias (naga morich).
I am still growing at Beta (my grandmothers house). Sav Spada and I will also be growing at a friend of mines place. He runs a lawn care company and grows pumpkins for Halloween. He has 12 acres which is divided into 3. The spot where we will be growing has not been used for pumpkins in 2 years (soy and corn)...so there should be less disease pressure.
We will call this The Farm....what a great name. Here is the are we get. It is approximately 30' x 500'. We get from the drainage ditch on the left to the grass on the right, and all the way down to the road in the background.
