4'x4'x8" cold frame used to harden tomatoes off. Place tomotoes under frame with one side leaning on bench. Other side is elevated on two 5 quart ice cream buckets to raise other side of frame up off the patio so breeze can pass under and keep temperatures down. Now I know the reason I have had to eat all the buckets of ice cream this past winter. They needed to be emptied so I could use them later. Wind was a little strong today so layed cold frame on the patio and put a gallon jug in middle to hold cloth off the maters. They survived well during the wind. Have a max/min and soil thermometer under frame to monitor thempesratures. If you have any ice cream buckets that need emptied I will volunteer provided the flavors are to my liking....lol
