Took the coal and covered the ground inside my hut with about 1 inch of coal. Purpose of this is 2 fold, 1 to increase the temperature of ground under the coal via sun power and 2 to get some extra values such as sulphur, carbon iron, etc. out of the coal when I water the growing plants. Last year in July I found that the coal covered ground would get as high as 145 F on a sunny day. When that happens, I covered the coal with light covered sand to cool the ground.
