Checked temperatures in huts..Mater hut Max 72, Min 34, present 36 at 8:02 am. Three 8 inch ground thermometers read 42 degrees F. Decided to shovel irrigation ditch for 3 row of maters in hut. Put ground therm in center row to see what it will read nex time. Recorded temps at 9:02 am in My hut Max 70 , Min 37 present 68. Dori's hut was Max 80, min ? present 42, therm tipped over and laying face down on ground. At 2:05 pm ground them in my hut was 48 F. Dug hole to put in two 40 foot soil heating cables in my hut. Put them approximately 6 inches below surface. Went to my coal vein and mined a wheeler trailer load of coal. Scattered the coal on the surface of ground approximately 1 inch thick. Put ground therm in to see what this would do to raise ground temp. Soil cable are not turned on yet.
