Recorded temps in 3 huts at 3:45 pm. Dori's hut was max 80, min 35, present 70. Big mater hut was max 120, min 36, present 84 F. Moisture is building up on the insides of plastic as ends are closed. Pulled the black plastic off floor of mater hut. There was a little ice remaining in spots. Will put in ground thermometers in three huts and see what ground temps are. Ground in the 2 small pumpkin huts are unfroze so will dig in ground heating cables in the near future. Will start to make furrows in mater hut as it will be irrigated by watering flowing down the rows. Will put black plastic back on the ground to control weeds and moisture. Will also help hold heat in during the night. Pumpkin huts will be sprinkled by overhead sprinklers eventually.
