For christmas I had 35ft of soil warming cable and a digital thermostat. I have made a propagator that is 2ft x 4ft so plenty of room. The base is made from wood which is lined with polystyrene, then there is about 1.5 inches of building sand in the bottom, I then layed the cable onto the sand in a crisscross fasion and covered it with another 1.5 inches of sand. It's all sat in a metal frame which I have surrounded with bubble plastic. I'm thinking the finishing toutch will be a greenhouse vent opener for the warmer days.
