The sun has been shining off and on the last few days and temps have been above freezing. I Can't wait until it gets warmer and I can get into the patch.
I started the season last fall by tilling leaves and hay into the patch and then planting rye. Rye is now about a foot tall and the deer are loving it. I'll mow it and plow it under when it gets warmer and dries out.
Soil test came back and everything looks pretty good, could always juice it up a little though, the next step is seed selection.
