Planned Cross: 1500.5 X 1209
Characteristics: 1500 and 1600 pound genetics, female parent was fast grower however it had a rib split. The 985 Werner was the #2 producer in 2008 with only the 1385 beating it. The largest 1207 to date, which had great shape, and went 9.6% over the chart, was the pollinator. The 1500.5 cracked with a month to go in that time it put on an estimated 250 more pounds, and was leaking while it was being weighed, if this fruit would have not of cracked, who knows how large it could have gotten. This is a cross to watch out for. Looks great on paper, similar genetics on both sides which I feel could create a stronger more pure cross.
