A bit more patch prep: there are a few hundred broad beans in there acting as cover crop, and I mulched around the kale with a bit of old hay.
After only two frosts in all of December, we finally have some freezing weather and some snow in the forecast.

Here are some of the seeds I have to choose from this year; all awesome genetics. I plan to grow two AGs back to back, and one of them will be a mystery seed.

I thought I would share a photo of my germination test plants that I grew on under lights. Pretty healthy looking, all things considered. The project has a dual purpose as I am cultivating mycorrhizal fungi and Trichoderma at the same time and plan to re-use this inoculated soil for my real plants come April.

I am doing my first soil sample ever. We'll see if I learn anything or need to take any action.
Any growers who might want to advise me once I get the results, feel free to drop me an email. I will say that I try to use mostly organic/regenerative methods and therefore won't be adding a lot of high NPK value fertilizers.
