Ripped and then tilled in 20yrds of compost, 8 bales of straw, 5 bales of alfalfa hay, 50lbs+ of ele sulfur. Still removing a lot of smaller rocks in top 6” that got stirred up from earlier, larger, rock removal.

All tilled up, threw on a couple bales of alfalfa after pic to reduce erosion heading into Spring.

High pH is what causes me the most concern with this Spring’s soil sample. I’ll just keep putting down 10lbs of ele sulfur each time I work the soil till I start getting it down below 7.

Put thermometers in 8 of the mini greenhouses with different heating types. Space heaters do the trick, heat lamps(300W total) w/blankets will likely suffice, and just heat lamps(300W total) are not quite enough.

Plants handled the transplant/first week just fine. Used Azos and myco with potting mix/peat moss during transplanting. Watering nearly daily 1gal/plant w/ ~400ppm using 20-20-20 w/tap water with some vitamin C (drop PH, and might help w/Chloramine)

Hit 84 today and windy, config’d miniGH w/only shade cloth over plant with plastic rolled back 1/2 way. Photone app read ~1000 PPFD on Sun setting w/shade cloth.

Drip irrigation going in. First ~10’ out from each plant, spaced about every foot. Had to disassemble mini greenhouses, add amendments/fertilizer, and till. Then laid and staked drip tape. Hooking everything up today.

Shade cloths up to protect from heat/Sun, wind, and hail. Done w/mini houses for the year. Broke main on 2046 Montsma, may convert to 150 sqft plant and pollinate current female at 10’ tomorrow. One of the 1832 Grahams had the main split in two spots, but will let it keep going. Other 8 plants are doing fine, with the 1953 Daletas growing so fast it’s hard to keep up.

Most plants are getting pollinated this week. Picture: 1953 Daletas with ~20 secondaries behind it. It’s also the best looking plant in the patch. 2493 Wolf, 1935 Ford, and 1832 Graham are also looking really good. Generally all the plants are enjoy the weather.
