New patch of land this time last year. I thought it would take the rest of 2022 and early 2023 to get it ready for this year.

How wrong I was! I've done a bit of ground clearance and that's it. Due to council regulations most of the past 12 months have been spent doing ecological surveys, arboricultural surveys, highway & traffic surveys, landscape planning, environmental impact assessment, flood risk assessment, neighbour & local parish consultation etc etc in order to get permission for an entrance gate to access the land from the road. Without the gate there is only access by foot which is obviously no good. The final paperwork was completed last week, now it will take a few more weeks for them to decide if it's permissible or not. Only then can I start work developing the land properly - meaning no pumpkin this year.

Some action at last. This is the site of the new tunnel and a shed which will house irrigation pumps & controllers etc. Next job is to get power and water installed.
