Wow the wind has been terrible the last 2 days. Lost my 30 x 45 hoop plastic and a couple small hoops covering my watermelon plants. Not much rain for April and the farmers are planting so all this open dirt just blowing around. Did not do anything yesterday outside but tried to protect plants as good as I could but eyes got dust in them. Still have wind advisory out for today yet and cold tonight with lows of 35 degrees. After tonight should get everything outside and planted. The 2168.5 Werner plant is looking good and about ready to lay down and go. My grafted Watermelon plant got burned by the heat lamp coming lose in the wind but looks like it should come out of it but main vine will not.

This is the storm that went through my place. I have some clean up to do. Plants beat up badly but most should come out of it.

Watermelon plants are taking off now and should be getting females in a week. Other plants are slow and been awhile since rain and may be another week till there is a chance. Tomato plants are in their 20 gallon pots looking good. I have 3 pumpkin plants at my brothers place that are laying down now and should have pumpkins to set around June 20th.

The last photo was 2425 Daletas not 2525. My phone is difficult to hit the 4 sometimes. All plants are doing okay just not getting any rain. If it does rain its like 1 tenth, so running 300 ft. of hose to gardens trying to keep things going at best. Finding lots of squash bugs around but so far keeping up with them. Setting long gourds now that they are at the top of trellis. Still have 4 watermelon plants to get sets on and hopefully this weeks we can get that done.
