For those growers looking for options for starting seeds,here's one that I made for my 10 year old granddaughter, uses a regular heating pad that's plugged into a thermostat, and a timer for the lights. Just stick thermostat sensor in the soil and then set to whatever temperature you want.

Even the beets like my soil, these are just your ordinary Detroit beets and they are actually sweet at this stage eaten raw,even better steamed with a little butter and salt!!

A big one,and maybe a bigger one coming ?? I panicked this morning thought I saw the beginning of a crack under the sling so I picked it but there wasn't anything wrong with it, I'm kicking myself for panicking, it could've been over 14 lbs easy.
