We had a cold spring so everything is late. Also main vines split on a lot of the plants so only hoping to get around 1500 this year for the giants.   Wednesday, July 6 View Page Growing 9 AG's at Steve's place, as well as16 field pumpkins and 2 watermelons. Growing 2 FP and the WR marrow at my place. His garden is awesome, with a lot of compost put down over the years. Mine was made just this year out of grass in my backyard. Very sandy and hasn't been amended yet.   Wednesday, July 6 View Page The 9 AG's are 2258 Leblanc, (2) 2517 Mendi, 1940 Urena, 2276 Lieber, 1953 Daletas, 2702 Cutrupi, 2121 Pierpont, and 2517 Haist. Everything looks nice except for the 2702. It was always the runt of the group and is much smaller now with thin vines and leaves that burn easily. The main vine hasn't set any fruit yet and recently split into two smaller vines. Not sure what's going on with it, But I stopped using it as a pollinator. The 1940 is largest and most vigorous, and the 2517 Mendi's probably next.
