Welcome 2021. Good luck to all. Up early adding some much needed LED sunshine to a cloudy stretch of weather

The 2003 Haist was one of 2 aggressive looking seedlings out of a bunch of seeds that I started on April 12. Planted in the south patch on 5/3. 21 days old.

Pretty amazing how quickly some plants find a way out of their pots. Here is the 2226 Boonen at 21 days in a 2.6 gallon pot.

The 2226 Boonen was a nice looking seedling so it got planted in the north patch on 5/3.

It's been raining for many days here and we have not seen the sun for a while. This is the 2003 Haist plant which is doing well given the difficult growing conditions. It has almost filled the 1000 SF patch. Pumpkin looking really nice. A few inches shy of where it should be but here it is at 21 days.

This 2226 Boonen plant has seen the sun this afternoon for the first time in 10-11 days. No kidding. My rain gauge is getting a workout. And before that we had 3 days of scorching heat. So both of my plants have some leaf burn but all things considered, the plants look happy and healthy. Happy to see temperatures over 70 degrees in a long time. This is the 2226 Boonen x 2003 Haist pumpkin at 16 feet. Below by a few inches where I think we should be but I am taking a wait and see approach. The weather really has been horrible for growing.

This is my biggest pumpkin. It is 2003 Haist x 2114 Wallace. Nice healthy looking plant. Pumpkin weighs in at just over 1180 pounds. Spring was tough and we are behind the benchmarks but she is still growing.

This is my 2226 Boonen x 2003 Haist weighing in at just over 900 pounds. Not going to break any records but she is a good-looking cream-colored blue striped pumpkin and she is still growing. So that's good. Plant is massive and surprisingly healthy. Normally I have killed half my leaves by now.
