4 DAP today. Convinced I can get a better one to set up higher and when temperatures are cooler. Started real late this year but theyre actually timed really well for fruits to grow through autumn...as long as i can keep diseases away.

Thursday, February 6 View Page
11 days old. This is the only tomato set so far. Growth is slow. Sprayed with mancozeb and sulfur mixture. Also, the megas in earlier entries all aborted.

Friday, February 7 View Page

Darn it. Showing early signs of BER. Was growing pretty quick too. Timed the watering a few days before it set too in hopes it would prevent BER. Oh well....

Last mega of the season and best looking bloom by far on the second domingo plant...though the plant isnt looking too great from all the rain and wind.

Tuesday, February 18 View Page
Late season probably isnt the way to go around here. Two plants isnt the best idea either. Next season will be 12-15 plants.

Soil tested and amended on 29/08. Added gypsum, granulated humates and borax. Weekly application of inoculant + biostimulants up until day of transplant. Seedling on the right was started on 05/09 and is set to go in the ground mid October. On the left is the size I want them at at transplant time.

Here is the condition of the plants. Stems started off a little thin but they're starting to thicken. I nip the bottom 4-5 suckers when they first appear but leave the following suckers to grow.

Here is a big zac. The oldest leaves have some purpling and yellowing from the colder weather when they were young.
