Went a few miles south into Arkansas with the kids today to “Distance”. Beautiful part of the Ozarks and everything is ready to go green.

A giant Barred Owl sitting right over the patch area a few nights ago. I hope they stick around and help with the rodents.

Taken May 1st out back... like most folks, cabin fever has really set in. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't grow during the Covid 19 quarantine.

Driving home from the river today, I passed a shed that would be perfect for pumpkins growing supplies... or a 69 Charger.

I had three, 4am field pumpkin pollinations this morning (thanks Andy H and Big Moon). After, it was a long day in Tennessee, Mississippi, Bama, but now this in Northwest Florida. Life is good. We brought lots of surf rods now that the boys are older and can wade out with me to the second sand bar. Hopefully the fishing is good.

Strange year in the patch, lots of aborts, but have some gourds doing well... lots of them.
As long as I can walk creeks at night and cast some topwater, life is good.

Headed over to the Home of Doug English, it seems we might have a world record cantaloupe grown. I’ll post pics and a weight soon.

It’s been a stressful few months for us Americans any way you side, but there is always good out there. This is mine a week ago... River Smallie caught on topwater.
Disclaimer: I fish alone at night, so have to use a self timer on ground for a picture.
