Was not too sure about buying this. Almost seemed fake but took a chance because it was from a reputable company. Glad I did.

Here is a picture you do not want to see at this time of year, but this was this morning. Temp was slightly below freezing. It is only June. Heat wave tonight of about 48f(9C) Nothing unusual for here.

This is Chaos, one of the kittens I got on June 26th from a shed in a farmers field. A few days after I picked them up a racoon killed the other 4. Could not attend online birthday party.

This is Karmie, the other kitten. She came with an infected right eye that was worse than this picture. had to put eye drops in 5 times a day for 2 weeks. took it like a trooper. Also had to treat them for fleas and lice. In the time since I got them, there has been 5 more cats that had 18 kittens dropped out there. Nice people, not.

Chaos when he was a little over 3 months just after i got him. Awful hard to get a good picture of him as he is full of energy. Believe me , he has earned the name Chaos.

Karmie. When the vets first saw them she said "wow, they're small" Karmie was 1lb. 7 oz and Chaos was ! lb 9 oz. But remember they are true barn cats and a lot of the later ones were runts also. Everyone at the vet clinic comments on what a pretty cat she is. To me all cats are pretty.

These are Irish Cobblers, an old variety. Planted potatoes later than I should have but pleased with results. Chem free and taste is what i am looking for.

These are an older variety called Superior. I go with the older varieties because the newer ones are not the best. The newer varieties may be blemish free and easier to grow but are inferior. Taste and quality is what food is about.

Another picture of the superiors. Excuse the lighting. Just wanted to add that I live in the worlds best growing area bar none. And you want to believe I like my potatoes.

This is a Canna lily called Flame. Under better conditions can go 12+. Had to start from seed to get them through border without Phyto. Bought seeds from Karchesky and got one to about 8 ft. hoping to over winter Rhizome and get a better start.

The top 2 Canna lilies next to the sunflower are called Purpurea. Can go fairly tall but it is the color I am looking for. I will start weeding out the ones that are not the nice dark color. Notice the Maple trees in the back ground. The summer was so dry here the leaves turned brown and you could smell the burnt leaves.

The Canna lilies to the right are called Tuerckheimii but I just call them Tuerck. These also can go very tall and are noted for leaf size. Did you know that Canna lily is actually one of the sources where you get arrowroot flour from for your arrowroot cookies. The Andean natives used the seeds for. gunshot. they are small and very hard.

Little field pumpkin. Was about 7 - 8 ft. out and down a side vine about 3 - 4 ft. Most of plant was after pumpkin and vines on that side were about 7 Ft. Only pollinated this one so I would have something growing. Slow to start and after a couple of weeks I was going to give up and pull plant but it started growing. First two true leaves were destroyed by cucumber beetles and when it recovered from that there was a near frost night on about the 6th of July. Then a very dry spell which caused the leaves on the maple trees to turn brown. Then around mid September 3 nights in a row of frost which the plant survived but started pumpkin ripening. In spite of my best effort this thing just wanted to grow. Pollinated about Aug. 10, did not keep exact date because was not intending to keep it.

Another picture. The one next to it came second at 70 lbs. That grower is usually in the top tier of GPC fp growers. Sits perfectly level and not a flaw to be found. It was the 205 Wursten selfed. It is pretty well picture perfect. Non GPC event but we know how to weigh.

Little project seed I have been working on. My 250 est. That 250 was from a cross that I made but could not get to pop from ground when it would germinate. So last year I was starting some for a backyard grower and attempted one and it popped. So i stuck it in and because of grower neglect got a 250 blob. I germinated the 250 Est. with much better results and was a lot more careful. Long stem is the problem. This one ended up at774, Couple of % heavy.

This one is from the 2416. The this came up with 1 cot leaf and ended up taping at about 750 but I think it was heavier. Took the orange one to the weigh off because orange rules. Also found out I was watering with water that averages 7.7 which explained why I was well into the 7+ ph when our soil here is acidic. Very dry = lots of city water + soil out of whack. Oh well.

This is another 2416 on a different plant. The oddity is I only germinated one seed. When it was popping soil I wondered why it was struggling so I went to pry seed coat off. The thing came apart and I seen the cots were not attached. The other one had the root but I could see this cot leaf starting to root. So i put it into its own pot just for the heck of it and ended up planting it when my best plant broke in wind. Very slow odd plant to start but I left it and eventually it started to vine. Ended up taping about mid 5's.

Look pretty good on front yard. The little odd shaped one is the end a project as they will not stop splitting Last year it was way faster than my biggest and went down on the bottom. This year I tried to grow several on the one plant and all on the bottom again. This one was just a mutant but had a hint of the red color I was looking for. The pumpkins on that plant had none to very little cavities and no seeds. None of my AG plants had many seeds for that matter.

This is Blood Thirsty Betty. One of my props I had this year. weather was good so I got them outside. I had it propped up on a tree trunk about 6 ft off ground and when it went into action there was a few screams and jump backs. Go to you tube and look it up if you want to see it in action. Look for video when it is on a wall. Some of you guys might have met her when you were clubbing. Look familiar?

Sugar Skull Top Hat Women. The name carved in the pumpkin is a girl I know who wanted her name on a pumpkin, so I put it on this one. She was quite happy. Another neighbor, recently arrived from China was curious about Halloween. She told me in China it was a curse to carve somebodies name into a pumpkin. Me and my neighbor gave her the first Halloween treats she ever got. She asked me how do you know what houses to get treats from and was surprised to learn that you just go door to door with very few not giving you something.

This is Karmie in her Luna pjs which she had to wear for 2 weeks after she was spayed. Chaos was neutered same day. Want to be a responsible pet owner and not add to a big problem. Tiny for 8 months.

I was not expecting this to arrive so soon but what a nice email to receive Christmas Eve saying it was delivered to CMB. 4 packs habanero popcorn, 2 jars of habanero jelly beans and 1 Maritime Madness Ghost Pepper brittle. Jelly beans give you a nice taste and then some heat. Best to eat 1 at a time to enjoy flavor. The brittle is best eaten in a very small chunk. Funny I do not like peppers but love the heat but not killer heat.
