Fall 2019 work began for the 2020 season, the greenhouse was in need of a remodel after it collapsed under 3 feet of snow in the spring of 2019. All the side walls were replaced with treated lumber.

I was thinking of my game plan during 2019 how I would grow differently in 2020, I'm not doing enough and that shows in my final weights at the scales, so I ran tests on c02 as a way reach the WR however it's not feasible to run c02 with my current set up so thats out of the question, the lights I ran in 2018 were limited by the amount of c02 in the greenhouse I believe so I wont be doing lights again, unless I build a greenhouse I'm able to run c02 in someday... So I'm trying something to improve my weights that is so blatantly obvious the only reason I haven't done it is because my ocd likes everything perfect. 1- I'm not going to limit my plants to there individual sections in the greenhouse, if I have an aggressive plant I'm going to let it take over the none aggressives plants side. 2- I'm going to allow my plants to grow outside the greenhouse, normally I deadhead everything once the vines reach the side walls. Doing these simple things will allow my plants to have more foliage, my plant are normally 600-700 square feet now they'll be 1000-1200 if not bigger. And I plan to have everything terminated as normal by day 20-25 of fruit set.

A few key notes. My fertilizer drenches have been 400-500 ppm and I'm adjusting ph to 6.5 on those drenches. My well water has 170 ppm naturally with a 6.8 ph. Also it seems I'm experiencing some nitrogen bloating in the leaves, however I believe with it somehow caused by the extreme heat we've been having, I noticed this a few years back, if we got extreme hot spells the leaves would get bloated, I believe it might be a type of defence metabolism response the plant is having to the heat, basically the plant is strengthened the leaves to better handle heat.

The 2027 haist has a good 100-150 square feet of foliage outside the greenhouse, a small change that could help me get heavier fruit.

2095 Brandt, this plant is about 1100 square feet at the moment and the fruit is 22 days old, I've just begun fertilizing with TKO and a few other things, I'll slowly ramp up that fertilizer drench until things are moving at a pace I'm comfortable with.

Plants are just about filled in now, my day 30 numbers on the fruit are nothing special this year however the plants look great so I'm very optimistic I can grow something very large still.

Overview of the patch, the plants are still looking strong, I am allowing more weeds to grow then normal because I feel I'm doing more harm then good going through the plants trying to make everything perfect.

Everything in the patch is beginning to slow, weekly gains are between 140-185lbs, plants are beginning to age and I'm fighting PM at the moment, however I still have 5 fruit growing so you can't go wrong with that.

On day 40 this fruit was 600 pounds, smallest day 40 numbers in years, however I never let that discourage me and I continued the upkeep on the plant, needless to say this fruit will be big!
