This will be my first year of growing and I can not be more excited. I am still trying to figure out what seeds to grow as I have some good ones. I will be growing all the plants in the GPC categories, I know its a lot but I am down for the challenge. I would just like to thank everyone who have helped thus far. Happy New Year to everyone and good luck growing.

I had a great time in Green Bay at my very first big show. I met many good growers and got many tips. It was nice to meet all of you and would like to thanks everyone who made it happen at Lambeau. I hope I will get to speak with all of you again when I have my own pumpkin stories to tell.

Sent my soil test today. I'm going with spectrum analytics. Im going to see what theirs is like and they give recommendations for AGs as well. Now we wait until the snow melts to add amendments, come on spring!

Well here's my official lineup! Bottom two are backups. Hopefully the 2027 germs but it has a crack near the point so who knows.

Well I don't know if my first seeds are going to germ I may have overheated them. I will leave them a couple days and see what happens. I have another 2017.5 and more 2091s so I will start those in a day or two of my others don't germ. I will also germ 1962 Haist, 1918 qualley, and 1921 carrier too and pick the best of those plants because I am almost certain the 2027 won't germ due to a severe crack by its point.

Wednesday, April 24 View Page
Success!!! My 2091 sprouted. I'll wait on the 2017 but I'm giving up on the broken 2027. I will start the 1962 Haist, 1918 qualley, and 1921 carrier on Friday

Finally finished my hoop houses!

Monday, April 29 View Page
I think I'm getting better at this. 4 for 6 so far. I think my success is using an old incubator. It keeps heat good and isn't as big as my old germ chamber.

Got 6 yards of compost for the patch yesterday.

Well, I'm not very good at this growing giants thing. My 1962 Haist is the best plant. My others are pitiful and yellow. I am limited on what I can do so I'll just roll with it. Got some BGs to germ. My tomatoes are up but they are growing slow. I'm letting down my team right now, sorry guys. Hopefully I can devote more time to growing after school gets out.

Monday, June 3 View Page
I got two BGs to pop out: 209 & 229 English. My 331 brown had the shell taken off and it now has sprouted a root! My tomatoes are still sad but if the giant don't work out then I have some eating tomato varieties that can get to be 2 lbs easily. I am disappointing my team but hopefully they can make up for me. And then there is my sad kins. Because they are doing nothing I am going to try and use a chicken manure tea to see if the high nitrogen will Green em up and get some growth as they haven't grew since I planted them. Here is the 2017 Boyce. It's looking sad. I also might try miracle grow to see if a little will get something going.
