My 1425 with being pollinated with 1225 finally taking off after three days. Plant looks good but my 347 plant is about 18 feet long and will pollinate it tomorrow with my 1812 plant. For some reason it was very slow getting started.

Pumpkin vines looking great, but the pumpkins are growing slow, biggest only softball size. I cover the pumpkins up with shade hoping that will help from the hot 90 plus days we are having. Only have 6 plants going but hoping to have a big one to take to Harvest Homes Fair the first week in Sept, to keep my record being first place there plus the prize money. Then have a big one for the weigh off in Hamilton. This year I will not put a pumpkin in Hamilton County Fair. I had the largest one for few years and the fair is first week in August and the first place is only $5.

I been trying to keep them water and only thing doing great is my vines but the pumpkins are staying around a baseball for last week. They been to get moving since last year at this time, two was over 150 lbs.
