Happy 2019 growing season everyone... Uncle John here... along with my nephew Knevin Cole and his trusty patch dog Jagger.. We are back to give it another try this year... Main patch has been moved up top of the property in hopes that if it's another wet summer, the patch wont get flooded out like last year... So the 2 seeds we have picked are the 2008 Neptune '14... and the 1918 Qualley '16... Our goal again is the NJ state record...Seeds have went into the germination chamber... So let the games begin!!!

So it looks like the main 2 plants this (looking like a lost) year will be the 1901 Larsen and 1810 Porkchop...2008 Neptune as an emergency back up since I'm not liking how the plant is looking... Still cant finish tilling out the patch as it never seems to stop raining around here.... Will definitely be a late start this year... On a positive note.. I did get my amendments in thanks to the help of David Scarinci of Naturalscape, inc... So if and when im finally able to get the 'kins into the ground. The soil should be just right... Thanks Dave!!!

But I was able to save the rest and finally have a pumpkin that looks like it might get through... Fingers crossed...
