Couldn't work garden last fall or this spring. Seeds have been in incubator for a week, and nothing. It looks like this will be a good year to take off. Maybe tomatoes in the green house.

I have about half set. I think it is still early. The next two weeks would be better. Pumpkin didn't get set until July 22. Don't think I'll have one to bring. I hope my long gourd is under 120 so it will fit in the car. Would rather drive it then the old truck.

The good thing from a bad year is that you can clean the garden earlier. Deer already ate the pumpkins, now it just has to dry up.

Long gourds barely reached the top of the trellis. I don't need a truck to haul this one.

If you are going to grow up north, you need a green house. This long gourd was planted the same time as the ones outside.

I like hanging my tomatoes in 5lb paint bags. Could have probably used 1 gallon for most of them.

You can tell it is getting close to weigh offs. The tomatoes are starting to go down. This one has a bad spot on the bottom.

This one has two slug bites.

After I cut this one off the vine, I just touched the stem and it fell off. I will try to sulfur it, but doesn't look good. Getting tomatoes to stay solid is the hardest part of making a weigh off. I have tomatoes that I know should grow larger, but when it gets cold they just shut down.
