Raised bed length is 17 feet. The white string marks the 14.5 foot mark, giving me 150 sq. ft. for the pumpkin. The left over 25 sq. ft. will be for four heirloom tomatoe plants, put into the ground today.

150 sq. ft. contest early patch photo with 12 oz. reference can. Patch size is 10.3 ft. x 14.5 ft. Three pumpkin plants are in the ground at the far end. The 1211 Ailts is at the center and has been in the ground for a week. The 1947.5 Clementz is in the right corner and the 1817 McConkie is in the left corner. They have been in the ground for two days.

Wind blew in the sides of the hoophouse last night. Lost the Clementz and the McConkie isn't looking too great. Both got beat up by flapping plastic and metal poles I use to roll up the sides.

More burnt leaves on the 1211. They are burning even with the hoophouse plastic and 30% shade cloth. Temps hit 96 degrees today. I need to protect the young leaves better.

1817 is at 7 feet still growing along the side of the patch.
