Seed starting day for me. Going all in on Eddy Z seeds. Hoping to grow the 2255 and have the 1157 as backup.

Spring is further along this year than in years past. Goal is to have the plant in the ground May 1.

Less than 48 hours after starting with wet paper towels the roots are out. Put them in pots this morning.

One week later the 2255 is up and looking good. I'm not sure what's going on with the 1157 - seems slow to emerge.

Finally got the 2255 in the garden but way later than I wanted. Unfortunately single digit highs and daily snow kept the pumpkin indoors for an extra week - hopefully not too much harm was done.

10 DAP for the EZ 2255 and we're at a measly 14" circ. Cool damp weather has slowed the growth here, it's rarely getting to 20 degrees during the day and single digits overnight. To top it off some hail the other day has punched holes in most of the leaves.

40 DAP pumpkin is now over 200lbs. Lots of plant but not a lot going into the fruit. It's been too cool and wet to really take off but if all holds together for the next couple months I should be knocking on the door of a PB.

Growth is grinding to a halt. Cold nights and lack of sun. Currently around 400lbs est. I'll be astonished if it gets to 500lbs.
