Started late this year but I've finally got one growing. 1730.5 werner x self dap 6. 11' out on the main. It had seeds in the blossom which is kind of a bummer but I'll have to keep it because it's getting too late to wait for the next main vine fruit to open.

1730.5 Werner day 70. Finally got a sunny day so I decide to take a picture. Forecast looks pretty sunny until the weigh off which is nice. Might be able to put on a few more pounds.

Side view. I had to cut the main off after the pumpkin yesterday. The s-curve split vertically down the vine for about a foot during one of the cold nights recently and then filled up with rain water. Didn't last too long after that to say the least.

1730 Werner plant got fried by the cold the past couple nights. It was near record breaking cold, even with the plastic that I put over the plant it still got cooked. Wind chill was something ridiculous like -15 c. It's all fine though, the weigh off is on saturday.

The pumpkin is really tucked in. I'll measure it tomorrow before we load it up.

My 1730.5 werner weighed 738 lbs. Taped around 710 so a little bit heavy. I won 3rd place at our local weigh off, I was slightly edged out by a 797 and 775 lber.

Stem end. I will need to start earlier next year, I think this could've been a 1000 lber if I had started in April.
