This is my son peering from inside my 657lb pumpkin that actually won the Texas state record my first season growing! I grew a couple of seasons, we moved, kids got older life full of activities and schedules and I haven't grown for 11 years! Our family now finds ourselves in Michigan, and my son (same as pictured) is a teenager. He comes to me in June and asks if he can grow a pumpkin with me! Sure, we're late to the game this season but we are making it happen! Dropping a few photos here to document our season. I have LOVED the time with him in the patch!!!

June 5th, our patch is complete! The hubby rented a sod cutter and he and my son did all the heavy work. Added 5 yards of 2year old composted horse manure and 5 yards of rich, black compost

June 5th, plants are in the patch! He is growing the 187.5 (1625x1730 clone) and named it Robert Plant. I'm growing "Fat Bottomed Girl", the 370 and hope the name will be fitting!
