Took soil samples today. Growing season is fast approaching!

Got a nice core sampler for Christmas. Makes this task much easier. I took 30 different samples across the entire patch.

After letting the soil dry over night, I break up the cores and mix them well prior to shipping them to the lab. I have typically used Midwest Labs in Omaha, this spring I am sending my soil to Midwest Labs and A&L Great Lakes to compare the results.

Ground was the perfect moisture to get the years first till done Saturday evening. Spread a 50 pound bag of sulfur. City water has raised my pH from 6.6 to 7.5 over the last few years, the sulfur should help bring that number back down into the upper 6's.
