Got a couple of my giant corn to sprout. Probably will be knee high by April 4th, not July 4th.

Monday, February 26 View Page
This is the best indoor tomato plant I have ever grown. I guess the first one usually is. Can you see all the air tomatoes? Can't even get a blossom. Still standing tall at 20 inches.

May have started my Giant corn plant a little early. Growing and inch a day almost, just poked through the top of the soil 2 days ago. Hopefully March in Virginia is warm enough to plant outside. Will be 3 feet tall by then.

The 1233 Scalise is out of the gate first

Wednesday, April 11 View Page
Started this 804 Scalise as a test p!ant last week of March, with the temps in the 80's this weekend, think I'll give it a shot outdoors over the next few days, and plant it on Sunday. If Temps go back down, I have backups just case.

Saturday, April 14 View Page
Planted my 904 Scalise today. May be a little early, might have a couple 40 degree nights, but have a plan to keep her warm. I have some backups ready that were started later just in case. I don't have a big greenhouse like a lot of you. Just growing in my back yard. Not fighting the snow in Virgina, but really cool nights.

Look Bnot, indoor tomato has 3 blossoms. The light you sent me did the trick. You were right about the lighting.

1971 Wolf is looking good. Temps going to be good next week to get outside.

Friday, April 20 View Page
900 Scalise is the only one in the ground in a hoop house sitting under a heat lamp at night. 36 degrees last night. Next week temps should not go much lower than 50 at night and 70 in the daytime. At least there's no snow here.

Put my 1971 Andy Wolf in the ground today after a good all day rain. Put it in my best spot. Roots where just starting to bust out of the cowpot.

Picking this bad boy as my first for the competition. Should go over 2 pounds. Will get a picture on the scale tomorrow. Team 22 C grower on the board. Got a couple more in the wings. Hopefully I can get 3 or 4 lbs this summer. First time growing large matters, so I'm glad to get something out there.

This is Big Betty. OTT 217. Dap 45 . From my 900 Scalise seed. Dont think it will grow much more. I would be happy to get 300 pounds.

Sunday, August 19 View Page
Game over for me. 2nd year growing and OTT measure 200 pounds on my biggest. Would have liked a 2000 pounder, but happy with my personal best. Even though they are small these Scalise seeds have great genetics and they are nice and orange. Thanks Andy.
