Anyone in the mn metro area have a pumpkin plant they started but don't have space for? I wanted to do only maters but I cant resist...I can trade a Martin tomato seedling or cash.

Qtip 7 ers kinda tiny. I'm trying to start them later than my eaters. Buried with worm compost from my 360 tower--plenty of eggshells and foxfarms ocean soil mixed in.

Looks promising. Watched a YouTube video on mater pollination. Recommended an electric toothbrush or finger flicking. I used a bedroom garden implement...back massager. My wife is worried about where that could lead.

It's truly a passion when I'm the only one who sees the beauty instead of juvenile anatomical jokes, like my brother and sister. Although, they do have a point. Lol. It does hang low to the ground unlike my eating tomatoes. Enough organic material for the season. Added some homemade chicken manure hot composted for 14 days; and the following nutes: maxicrop seaweed, neptune harvest veg, molasses, some raw brand nutes, happy frog conditioner, grass clippings, cow manure, earth juice gro, sea 90, humic/fulvic, rock phos, earth worm casings from my towers, egg shells, Aurora bat guano, vitamin b, beastie blooms, alfalfa meal, advanced nutrient silica, cal mag raw...jeez no wonder the leaves are curling.

5.22 qtips were picked at 3.01 and 2.07. The menting picked the biggest. Not sure when to pick these things. If I were taping each day, the numbers would tell. Never had to cut a tomato stem so thick. Probably have another 4lb one in a week.

So as they ripen, they lose weight. the 4.3 on the right is now 4.03. Its interesting that the right has 2 lbs almost on the guy in the left. 6 tomatoes left in the garden and one flowering. Gale woods seems like bad timing with my first year leaving one mater. Last year I let one plant run its course. It had a five tomatoes on the first truss. Almost snapped the plant.

Saved seeds. I used to smear the seeds on a paper towel and let that sit my basement till next year. Trying the first YouTube video of some English guy on my google search. The seeds separate in this water supposedly. Not as many seeds as I would think from a gallon bag of tomato guts! Not sure what to do with the guts. Seems like a waste.

Alright. Another 3 over. Had a 4lber that was actually two on one stem...dang .hid from me.

Business is slowing down on the lake minnetonka, so I'm seeing the plants with clearer eyes. Luckily two plants had flowers ready... one on a 4.54 martin and anothed on a 5.22 qtip. Maybe I can do the whole days after pollination...never cared about that except for a real human baby, which isn't as accurate as a gardeners dap. Im getting into my bigpumpkins dork groove. Watch out normal neighbors with your assosiation laws for aesthetics, I have my sod kicker in the lawn.

Marinara sauce... with one big guy attracting flies to my wife's annoyance.

Thursday, August 16 View Page
Another 3.5 lb guy. Of the 14 plants, only 1 was less that 3lbs, and 1 above 4lbs. Nice crop of 3lbers for seeds and sauce. 2 new sets and 1 left to pick from first round.

The last two of the year are no competition for each other. One has less and an inch cc. The other is 7.5 at about a week. And this guy who has hung to green too long, but if it wants to grow, I'm not going to stop fertilizing it.

Sunday, August 19 View Page
The 7.5 cc at 7dap. It's close to a week, so I'm sticking with that number. With all the testimonials for starter paks, Wallace ought to be happy ..I'm almost willing to splurge now.

Recharge is hot on the cannabis market. And I tried it...it basically made the tomato plant shoot out a bunch of suckers. Great for my habanero plant!

Recharge made a super frothy tea in 18 hrs. I had to cover the bucket. Also, it foams even just after mixing while I applied it to plants. The other microbe product that's hot for cannabis growers is mammoth. Just need the boss's approval now for 60 bucks. Lol.

I like reading what others do, so I'm trying to reciprocate my 3 lb techniques..lol. after so many 3 pounders I have to try anything to find what works. Here is gale farms guy at 12.5 cc yesterday. Rot seems better with its baby powder.
