This 232 Mudd has been in a planter since July 2017. This is the second baby watermelon in a week. I attempted a hand pollination yesterday. See what happens, surprised to see this blooming in the sun room. Cool.

Annoyed.. I waited to long to germinate these onions. 1 out of five. Going to germinate the rest of them this year, hopefully with better results. I would really like seed from these. May need to use my gourd area for vegetables. My green pepper from the UK sprouted. I think there is one left.

Soaked seeds. I really like this way of germinating. After soaking these Pumpkin, Marrow, Radish and Parsnips. Place the seeds in a sealable container on vermiculite with some water. I keep the container on a heat mat. The onion starts I was having problems with all came up this way. If you wait to long, the root goes into the vermiculite and can be easily removed when your ready to transplant to dirt.

My single heating cable area. This soil has been 70 for the last month. The soil temp difference of 5 degrees is starting to show better growth on the plants. The left side of the tomato is showing a double bloom. The right side has only thrown singles so far. With an early start do you cut one or grow out the forked vine? Sanitizing the clippers.

Thank you, Mr. Green for the scrambled egg slime mold link. After reading Teaming with Microbes By Jeff Lowenfels and Wayne Lewis. On page 68 I would lean more towards these organism swarm when the food source is abundant. I noticed a thimble amount of slime mold during planting. AFTER the initial fertilization the mold rapidly increased in size and swarmed the organic fish fertilizer in the area of heaviest concentration.

1502 Wallace 2006 is now the tenth heaviest pumpkin in Az. 439 Culp. The plant is done. Pleased with the weight since it was a primary secondary 10 feet out. Main vine gave me soup..

4.63 in a 2 gal pot The squash has passed the tomato. Interesting growing inside in a controlled environment. The plant seems to take nutrients before and after the squash when it is missing nutrients in the feedings. By using a sterile soil the deficiencies showed in the plant by week 6-8. I cut off most flower growth and fertilized.
