My first diary post in many many moons. Been a long hard road. Havent been this excited to cross the finish line since 2010 when we pulled Chris Steven's 1810.5 WR from the patch. I don't even care what this fruit weighs. It made it to the end and that's what matters. 1374 Engel x self. Hope its LOADED with seeds.

Historical top pumpkin and top ten average pumpkins by year since 2006, updated for the 2018 growing season. Incredibly highly correlated linear fit projections for 2019, 20, & 21 seasons included. Data continues to suggest 3000lb milestone may be threatened in 2021 season. Notable observation regarding predictive quality of data: 2006-2017 data set suggested a 2018 top weight pumpkin of 2668lbs, which is only 3.7% variance from the actual top pumpkin weighing 2528lbs. Even more intriguing, 2006-2017 data projected top ten average weight of 2300lbs, actual top ten weight was 2291lbs, which is only 0.3% variance. It is unreal how tight this linear projection is functioning. If we lean on this data to project 2019, it suggests top pumpkin weight of 2771lbs and a top ten average of 2367lbs. Check back October 2019 for an update.
