Hail and wind storm Friday evening 6/9 about 7:00pm. We had nickle size hail for about 20 minutes that covered the ground. I will upgrade the pumpkin tent to fresh 6ml plastic. All other pumpkins were safe in their houses.

First 1164 Carrier 7/3. It survived minor hail damage on 6/9. It was rolled several times during a dust storm on 6/22 with 45 mph + sustained gust dispite wind break on two sides . I put up the right side on 6/23. The vines were not cover then, but are now. I will need to relocate the two side wind breaks soon.

Second 1164 Carrier x Second 1098 Carrier DOP 7/27. On 7/29, I placed a rebar rod near the tip of main vine to get the vine to lay flat before burying it. On 7/29, about 10" from tip, 2/3 of the stem had severed, leaving 1/3 still attached. I moved the stem to closed the wound and covered with soil. The stem is not dead, but has stop growing. I will allow the closest secondary to take over as a main stem.
First 1164 Carrier x Self DOP 7/23 at 12.5' looks like it did not developed. I did not name it yet. I culled the fruit on 7/27.
Second attempt or First 1164 Carrier. I x it with Second 1164 Carrier at 14' DOP 7/27.

Schumacher OTT number 338 at about 885 lbs? I don't believe this is close. The inside wall thickness at the split is 2.5 inches. I can even rock the pumpkin a little on the plywood. This is Day 54 for her. I will move her out of the patch tomorrow and clean up the area for next season.
